This series of photographs are my personal interpretation of the instrumental Nine Inch Nails album, Ghosts I-IV. This "soundtrack for daydreams", as described by front man Trent Reznor, inspired me to take photographs of what I saw in my mind while listening to Ghosts the night of its release. As I listened to each track, I would see things in my mind, ranging from specific objects or places, to waves of different shades of colors. The next day, and for weeks following its release, I took my camera for a walk while listening to GHosts, some songs inspiring a few shots, and some photographs seeming to fit with multiple songs. After the sun went down, I sat down and resized the images, using no cropping or editing, so that how I saw the scene through the lens, and how the camera captured it, is exactly what you see. I then listened to each song on repeat until I matched up all 38 tracks. In this collection, each photograph is titled by its corresponding track.
